Discussion Solving Input Lag

Hello all! I'm sure or most of you face a problem where the button inputs are "lagging" by perhaps a few microseconds and it is very noticeable and affects your enjoyment of the game (especially in rhythm games where timing is EVERYTHING). And no matter how you adjust the timing calibration in-game, it never feels right.

It's most likely because your TV is a HD TV and there's a very simple fix for this! No, you don't have to get a new TV. Check your TV's display/picture settings (eg. Normal, Cinema, Dynamic). Check and see if there's a setting called Game or Gaming. Some TVs have a Scene Optimiser, which might be where the option is. Turn it on and all your input lag should disappear.

If you're not sure if your TV has Game Mode or where to find it, do consult your TV manual! It worked wonders for me. :)
