Project DIVA f (Vita) coming overseas!

    Based on the success of Project DIVA F in the west, SEGA just posted about their plans to get the handheld version of the latest entry in the Project DIVA series to America and Europe.

    The game will be released "early 2014" in both EU and US, as download only. According to the post, the western version "will offer the same songs and features of the original version" - which could mean that the PS3 exclusive songs will not be included, but instead will be DLC.

    I'm only getting it if all the DLC is included. Otherwise, I'm good with what I got.

    Digital version though but still congrats i guess.
    (the loadings were already longer than PS3)
    so just saying that to not expect same performance as Vita retail copy on that.

    The DLCs will not be included so...
    Let's see the price of the game and the price of the DLCs...

    And still no announcements about Project diva F 2nd or project mirai 2 localised everywhere in the world :/ . Why SEGA, why ?

    I really wasn't expecting them to release the Vita version, but this is great news!
    The only sad part for me is that my Vita is connected to my Japanese account so I won't be able to play it...
    Hopefully they'll announce whether they have plans to release F 2nd in the West soon.

    Also, I'm pretty sure they said it'll have all the songs the PS3 version has.

    well hot dayam! This means the PS3 English version sold well enough to give the green light on the Vita. I was hoping for this. As much as I love watching/capturing PV's from the PS3, I prefer to do my editing on something compact like the PSP or Vita. But I am happy just to have the PS3 version, so this is icing on the cake.

    Won't be jumping in since I already have the JP version on Vita and the EN version on PS3. But I'm happy for all of the people who were upset that the Vita version wasn't announced. Hoping they actually hold up their end of the bargain and buy it.

    Does anyone know how big the file will be (since it's download only) so I know what size card to get when I buy my vita next week?

    Well, let's see if Project Diva f English ver. sells well. Then we have a chance to get a localised F2nd and Mirai 2. =)

    I don't think Mirai in english will happen. That's Nintendo area and Nintendo is a lot more strict than Sony.

    Personally I feel this is very promising news for the future games as that means more people will be able to enjoy the PD franchise no matter where you live. Now granted I'd still prefer to import the original games, I'm more than happy to see the franchise expand beyond just one country.

    I think I agree with this. Basically, if I have to wait a long time for the non-JP versions to come out, I'd rather just import, even if I won't understand everything immediately and it's more expensive. But hey, the booklet will be thicker! Though I'm really happy to be seeing these games reaching other places and people.

    Is there an actual reason they decided to make the Vita US/EU version digital only?

    I guess to lower the costs... you don't have to make Vita cards and boxes if you can make a digital only version instead.

    A lot of games on Nintendo consoles are missing in america and europe. we usually get games for casuals instead of the really good games.
    Sony always released a lot of japanese games in europe and america, like the games developed by ATLUS (now SEGA), XSEED or other companies.
