    Thanks for your help :)
But in real here is no problem about LED connection - there is no problem with it at all, because principally everything is connected and works. There was reflections on the topic about possibility of using serial connection for exchanging data with game about button presses and what exactly LEDs that need to be lit at some moment. Also, in case we are using optical switches - there is no way to connect LEDs like mechanical switch, also if you connect LED to mechanical switch - you cannot control LED from game itself, like it has to be. But your variant is easy to make and for those who do not need something like I want - it will work good :)

Also, I found another variant to work with. Raspberry Pi Pico can do same, it has two hardware UARTs, and program that doing this, it has USB functionality and gamepad program, also I'll try to make program to try plugin (it's finally ready) to work with arcade lighs. The main problem is to compile that everything into one program. And also problem is that Raspberry Pi Pico doesn't have 5v tolerant pins, so it needs to use level shifter to adapt levels from 5v devices to 3.3v that needed. For SHINSANWASWITCH it's pretty easy, I think, just to change one resistor (I hope so) with lower denomination that limits voltage to power the optocoupler's LED, so, maybe here pretty easy to do without level shifter. In other cases it will be needed, but I think only in case of using 5V UART device that will be LKP in my case. And if everything will be good, making a board for it will be pretty easy :)
I'll upload updates if I have news about it :)

I found something interesting about plexiglass, maybe if someone interested in making a slider that will scatter light the same way as the original slider on arcade cabinet can use it. I found that plexiglass is pretty good when sanding with sandpaper. I sanded down it with sandpaper from 60 to 800 (sandpaper grit level, from coarsest to finest) and I found it looks amazingly good and while maintaining sufficient transparency, so if you put a picture under it - it will look good, just like on real arcade and along with this, it’s all very pleasant to the touch due to processing with the finest sandpaper. So, I think I will use it in the future, when I'll have possibility to complete my build.

Hi, would like to ask if anyone here knows how to get the arcade slider mode in MM+ to work with DIY controllers? It works on my Switch, but the analog stick inputs do nothing on MM+

Try to remap forcibly buttons to buttons and slider to analog sticks through x360ce or something like that, most likely that directly game do not understand how to use that signals. Try to figure does it works principally as I described and that try to understand how to tune everything right, because it can be a little bit tricky.

I tried using x360ce, same problem. The game actually detects my controller, if i touch the middle part of the slider where left stick up is, it does scroll my menu up when the arcade controller setting is disabled. But when I enable that setting, the sticks still get detected but does nothing. I can tell because the icons turn into PC icons when i move my mouse, and turn into Switch icons when i touch my slider. The same happens with my DS4. I don't think it's affected by mods, tried disabling all my mods and it still didn't help

So exactly, what controller do you use? Or as arcade slider you mean official arcade slider?

I use my own DIY controller, which uses an Arduino Pro Micro. Steam and MM+ detect it as a Switch Pro controller. Do i have to somehow trick the game to think it's a Hori controller?

No, you do not need to make game think it's hori, forget about hori and arcade regime in game. Make the game think like it's normal gamepad. Try to use Steam gamepad settings. But I think that you were not fully right set up x360ce.

My controller mappings are correct, maybe this vid can show you what I mean by the game being able to detect my analog stick inputs. You can see the icons turn into keyboard icons, then back to Switch icons when i switch between keyboard and my controller. And i didn't show in the vid, but it works on my Switch, but i want mods

Maybe, I do not understand something, but at first I do not see that your movement of "analog stick" in steam crosses the dead zone, If the settings of analog stick in your arduino is not digital, not from 0% to 100%, then I can propose you to fix that and make that. Or just try at first minimize dead zone to 0% in steam. But I can surely see that it's possibly doesn't work because of this.

Changed the deadzone, it didn't fix it either, which looks right because if it's the deadzone, then pushing the analog sticks of my DS4 with arcade setting enabled should cause some sort of interaction, like it does on Switch.
I'm guessing it might be related to Steam detecting my controller as a Switch Pro Controller? Maybe Steam needs to detect it as something else, or not. I saw a Youtube video saying if you change the button mappings of the Hori controller, the slider will stop working.
Will continue to poke around and see if i can figure out exactly what is my problem. Until then, i'll just use my mini con with emulated slider on my PC. Thanks for the help!

It seems like Steam also detects the Divaller as some other controller, since you can map the buttons in Steam's controller settings. Hmm...

I do not know really why Hori anyway, but I can propose you to write to https://discord.com/channels/101851954677837824/833703190146580490 this discord channel about project diva controllers, maybe there people can understand your nuances better.
